Privacy Policy

Need for an Update

Due to GDPR (General Data Protection Regulations) which affects citizens of the EU starting on May 25, 2018, I have updated my privacy policy. I understand that internet privacy is a main concern, and I want to assure you that I take my users’ privacy seriously.

What Gets Collected

WordPress collects non-personally identifying information. This refers to browser type, and the date and time of the visit to my website. None of this information is shared.

Identifying information (IP addresses, names, emails, addresses, etc.) are collected if a user leaves a comment or uses the contact form. Email addresses are never shared, and name is an optional toggle.

Similar data may be collected during giveaways, book orders, and polls. However, I only collect data that is necessary and relevant to the form.

I use MailerLite to manage my email marketing subscriber list and to send emails to my subscribers. MailerLite is a third-party provider, which may collect and process your data using industry standard technologies to help me monitor and improve my newsletter. MailerLite’s Privacy Policy is available at https://www.mailerlite.com/legal/privacy-policy. You can unsubscribe from my newsletter by clicking on the unsubscribe link provided at the end of each newsletter.

Cookies are collected on this website. Visitors who do not wish to have cookies enabled can manually opt out in their browser. The links below are guides on how to enable/disable cookies for various browsers.

What Happens with your Information

Non-personally identifying information is used for the sole purpose of how visitors use the website.

Identifying information is used to send comment/responses to users who have the option enabled and is for the purpose of communicating with website users.
Information that gets “held on file” such as e-mail addresses and names when users subscribe for updates is not shared with anyone. Users may choose to opt out at any time.

Wrapping Up

Privacy is an incredibly important principle today, and with new regulations this privacy policy will be updated. It is important to understand your rights under GDRP if you are a citizen of the EU. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me
