I’m very excited to announce the launch of Betrayal, a historical fiction anthology that I have the honour of being a part of with my story “Honour of Thieves”.
Spanning eras from post-Roman Britain to the present day, the stories in Betrayal bring to life both legendary moments of deceit as well as imagined episodes of treachery. You’ll encounter highwaymen, knights, pirates, soldiers and even ordinary people, caught up in extraordinary circumstances. Collectively, these stories illustrate multiple facets of betrayal.
Under the banner of Historical Fictioneers, the authors of Betrayal include myself, Judith Arnopp, Anna Belfrage, Derek Birks, Helen Hollick, Amy Maroney, Alison Morton, Charlene Newcomb, Tony Riches, Mercedes Rochelle, Elizabeth St. John, and Annie Whitehead. I am especially proud to be working with these authors. In fact, I’ve interviewed most of them right here on my blog. They are all talented writers whose work is a very high standard and can be considered some of the best in historical fiction.
My contribution to the anthology, “Honour of Thieves” is a prequel to Traitor’s Knot and offers a new adventure for James Hart, my Royalist highwayman. If you love thrilling heists and clever thieves, you’ll be sure to enjoy “Honour of Thieves”. And as always, James seeks to deliver justice in an unorthodox way. This time, he’ll break into the heavily fortified Warwick Castle to do it.
As a thank you to our readers during a very difficult year and to entice new readers to our work, Betrayal is available as a FREE eBook through Amazon Kobo, Barnes & Noble, and Apple Books. No need to wait. Start reading today!
